Mrs. Debbie Dodson: I believe that all students can learn, and I am committed to providing my students with appropriate learning activities to assure their success. Establishing a caring and respectful relationship with my students and their families is a priority. I recognize the uniqueness of each child and use their interests to develop a child-centered classroom. I provide a variety of experiences that are differentiated to provide enough challenge and support to build on success and develop an “I can” attitude. These experiences include multi sensory lessons that are active and engaging. We sing, move, dance, create and laugh each day. We share our thoughts and ideas during group meetings and project planning. I encourage everyone to participate and voice their ideas and opinions. I model and teach active listening skills and value each child’s opinion.
